Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

Binge eating involves eating enormous quantities of high-calorie foods The patient may not be hungry or need to eat. People who suffer from this disorder will diet and binge eat.  Binging episodes may be planned; the patient goes out shopping and buys specific foods for his or her binge. It may also be spontaneous. The difference between binge eating for a person with bulimia and other people is represented by the purging events
Binge eating is different from going to a party and “pigging out” on pizza, then deciding to go to the gym the next day and eat more healthfully.
